Sheriff's Deputies Recover Marijuana, Illegal Guns In Maryland During Search

Marijuana and illegal guns were seized by police investigators in Maryland who served a search warrant following complaints of drug activity in Charles County, the sheriff’s office announced.

Members of the Charles County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Section executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Dorset Drive in Waldorf, a spokesperson for the agency said on Wednesday, June 15.

The warrants were issued as part of an investigation into complaints of drug activities involving Trevon Akeem Allen, 27, of Waldorf, throughout the region.

During the search, investigators said that more than 250 grams of marijuana were recovered, as well as drug distribution paraphernalia, and a stolen gun that was located inside the residence.

Detectives also served a search warrant on Allen’s car, which was in a different location, during which they recovered a second gun, according to the sheriff's office.

Allen was arrested without incident and charged with:

  • Possession with intent to distribute drugs;
  • Illegal possession of a firearm;
  • Transporting a firearm in a vehicle;
  • Other related charges.

Allen was released from the Charles County Detection Center under the condition he meets the criteria for an electronic monitor.

No return court date has been announced.
